Veteran Program: Driven to Serv

SERVPRO is committed to hiring and retaining veteran employment. We have established an initiative and point system for hiring veterans and would encourage all Veterans to consider working with us after being released from their military duties.

The Mission

“We want to help stabilize their lives because people go off to face real danger and real uncertainty and, if we can help them regain their lives when they come back to civilian life, we should be proud of ourselves.”

- Steve Schwarzman, Blackstone Chairman, CEO and Co-Founder, Veteran

Why are we interested in hiring Veterans? Well most importantly we want to give back to those who have sacrificed so much for the freedoms we enjoy today. We understand veterans have a specific skill set that might be difficult to match when seeking employment. At SERVPRO of West Oklahoma City we thrive in team environments and understand that hard work is at the core of who we are and how we serve others.

We value the skills our men and women in uniform established while serving and we want to bring those skills here where they can be utilized in a professional environment.

Finding Military Talent

Government data shows that unemployment among U.S. military veterans remains far higher than the national rate for the civilian population according to the labor department. This doesn't sit well with us and we want to make a difference in the lives of those who have sacrificed so much for our country. If you know of any veterans in the Oklahoma City area looking for a career opportunity we want you to know that SERVPRO of West Oklahoma City is interested in offering them employment.

SERVPRO has made a goal of hiring 1,000 veterans, military spouses, and caregivers of disabled veterans by the end of 2022. As of today there are only 200 registered veterans in our system and with your help we can achieve this goal. Help us make this possible by sharing this information with friends and family who might be interested in a career with SERVPRO.
